   ANALYSTS|Single Stock Performance Summary

The Single Stock Performance Summary features information about an analyst's performance on a particular stock for both earnings estimates and recommendations.

The page is divided into three sections:
  • Recommendations
  • Quarterly Estimates
  • Yearly Estimates

Recommendations section
The recommendations performance section can be viewed for the trailing 12, 24, or 36 months, or for various calendar years. The page can be set to view performance on an Industry-Relative basis or an Absolute basis. The table in the Recommendations section shows a timeline of each of the different recommendations issued by the analyst during the selected period. When the page is set to Industry-Relative, the table displays the performance of the stock relative to a market capitalization-weighted benchmark of all the stocks in the industry; when the page is set to Absolute, the table displays the performance of the stock in absolute terms. Prices in the table are shown on a split-adjusted and dividend-adjusted basis.

The chart in the Recommendations section plots the analyst's recommendation during the selected period as a thick blue line. The mean recommendation among all analysts covering the stock is plotted as a bronze line. The right axis scales the recommendations. Vertical, green dotted lines indicate the dates of earnings reports. When the page is set to Industry-Relative, a market capitalization-weighted benchmark of all the stocks in the industry is plotted on the chart as a dotted black line. The left axis scales the stock price and the benchmark (if it is included).

Quarterly Estimates
The charts in the Quarterly Estimates section plot, as a blue line, the analyst's earnings estimates for various quarterly periods that have already reported earnings. The mean estimate for each of those quarters is plotted as a bronze line, and the actual earnings are shown as black vertical bars.

Immediately beneath the chart is a table showing the analyst's estimate history for each of the measured quarters. The detailed numerical data allows you to compare the history of the analyst's estimates for each quarter to the actual company earnings.

Yearly Estimates
The charts in the Yearly Estimates section plot, as a blue line, the analyst's earnings estimates for various yearly periods that have already reported earnings. The mean estimate for each of those years is plotted as a bronze line, and the actual earnings are shown as black vertical bars.

Immediately beneath the chart is a table showing the analyst's estimate history for each of the measured years. The detailed numerical data allows you to compare the history of the analyst's estimates for each year to the actual company earnings.
